Birmingham Development Finance is part of the Construction Capital network. We focus on one product area — development finance for UK property developers — and one city-region: Birmingham and the wider West Midlands footprint. We don’t do residential mortgages, car finance, business loans, or anything else. That focus is deliberate. Development finance is complex, market-sensitive, and relationship-driven; we’d rather be excellent at one thing than mediocre at many.
The founder’s background is corporate banking — a 20-year career on the lender side of property finance, including senior roles at high-street and specialist banks. That institutional experience underpins how we structure and present schemes to lenders: we know what credit committees need to see, what triggers a decline, and where there’s genuine flexibility in lender policy versus where there isn’t.
Over the past decade we’ve arranged in excess of £300M of facilities across senior, stretch senior, mezzanine, JV equity, and exit products.
